About the
Our World Neighborhood Parent Association

We're parents, guardians, and community members united by a common goal: ensuring every Our World Neighborhood Charter School student has access to enriching experiences and educational opportunities.

What is the Parent Association?

We are a group of volunteer parents who organize events and activities that contribute to our children's experience at OWNCS. We strive to build a strong school community through PA-sponsored events and provide much-needed resources for important programs. All parents and guardians of OWNCS students are automatically PA members.

Supporting the PA enables us to provide these community-building events for our families:

  • Free Art Saturdays

  • Multicultural Festival

  • Teacher Luncheons

  • Grade 3-8 State Exam Breakfasts

  • Back-To-School Picnic

  • Kindergarten Orientation and Playdate

  • ...and more!

Our Mission

The Our World Neighborhood Charter School Parent Association exists to:

  • Foster a strong, connected school community

  • Raise funds for educational programs and resources

  • Support teachers and staff in their important work

  • Create meaningful opportunities for family engagement

  • Advocate for the needs and interests of all students

What We Do

The Parent Association serves as a bridge between families, school administration, and the broader community. Our work includes:
Community Building
We organize events and activities that bring families together, creating connections that strengthen our entire school community.
Fundraising
Through various initiatives throughout the year, we raise funds that directly support classroom resources, educational programs, technology, and special projects.
Volunteer Coordination
We connect parents and community members with volunteer opportunities that match their interests, skills, and availability.
Communication
We keep families informed about school activities, important dates, and opportunities to get involved through newsletters, social media, and our website.
Advocacy
We represent parent voices and work collaboratively with school administration to address community needs and enhance the educational experience.
